BRITISH BREWERY & PUB ASSOC : China Market Consultancy

In 2009 the BBPA commissioned Distinctive Drinks to help identify importers and distributors that could import beers from the UK and sell into the local on and off-trade market in China, including bars pubs, retails outlets and supermarkets.

Distinctive Drinks were ultimately able to secure a trial order for 6 UK breweries and continues to work with the 2 of those brewers; Marstons, Wells & Young’ whose brands were taken on after the trial. This includes Pedigree Ale on draught, the only such British beer available in China and a favourite at the Intercontinental Expo Hotel in Shanghai.
